I studied at The Music Academy in Lithuania, where I gained my Masters Degree. I went on to gain my CT ABRSM ( Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music) Professional Development Course and Diploma in teaching. I also completed the ABRSM Jazz course. I regularly participate in professional development courses, e.g. “The Virtuoso Teacher” with Paul Harris and “Improvisation Course” with Dorothy Shaw. I have played with jazz bands for a number of years and take part and support numerous local musical events.
I am based in Oxfordshire and offer one to one tuition on the piano and keyboard as well as music theory. In addition I also offer group tuition on the keyboard. Lessons can be taken both face-to-face and online.
I have taught piano/keyboard and music theory since 1992, not only as a private tutor, but also at the following schools:
-
- Harpur Music School, Bedford / Technics Music Academy, Abingdon
- The Abingdon Music Centre / Abingdon Music Practice
- The Matrix Music School & Arts Centre
- Reading Music Centre
- Basildon Primary School
- Cranford House School
I am a recognised tutor for ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal School of Music) and Guildhall examination boards and a member of the European Piano Teachers Association (EPTA)
My approach to music education is that it has to be first and foremost – FUN! I feel that my students learn more readily when they are enjoying themselves. I welcome all students, whether they be six or sixty-six, whether they be studying for an examination or playing purely for pleasure. There are always opportunities for my students to take part in EPTA competitions, local festivals, concerts and piano workshops. I am a recognised tutor for both ABRSM and Guildhall examination boards and a member of EPTA.
